"Varieties of Capitalism in the Mediterranean (18th -20th c.)"- Conference dates and relocation

10-12-2021 21:26

It is our pleasure to share with you the specific dates for the 4th International Conference in Economic and Social History, titled "Varieties of Capitalism in the Mediterranean (18th-20th c.)". The conference will be held between September 29 and October 1, 2022. The conference has also been relocated to Athens, as we felt that a more central location would facilitate travel and accommodation during these uncertain times.

We are proud to announce a new hosting institution, the Department of Political Science and History of Panteion University. Much as we regret foregoing the opportunity to meet on Corfu, we hope to return to the Ionian University in the future and would like to thank our colleagues at the History Department for their efforts during the past 18 months.

As mentioned in our last message of May 28, 2021, we intend to issue a supplementary call for papers to give new colleagues an opportunity to join the conference. Of course, this does not affect the status of your paper, which is still included in our preliminary program. However, given the time that has elapsed since your original proposal, we would like to ask you:
(a) to confirm your continued interest in participating in the conference in Athens; as always, our intention is to organise an in-person conference while taking all necessary precautions to guarantee everyone's safety.
(b) to ask whether you would like to revise your original paper (and, if so, what your alternative title/abstract would be) and/or update your affiliation/contact information.

Please be so kind as to reply by December 31, 2021 and do not hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions,

The Organising Committee
